NFL Week 1 Parlay Picks
When making NFL parlay predictions you can either put together several teams, sometimes at long odds to make a big payout, or piece together a parlay with some favored teams if you’d rather avoid betting them on the spread on their own. Are two-team parlay here will combine for -132 odds.
Texans vs Ravens
- Pick: Ravens
The Ravens were 8-4 with Lamar Jackson starting last season and 2-4 with him injured and out of the lineup. He’s back this season with a shiny new contract and ready to hopefully lead Baltimore as a contender in the odds to win the Super Bowl.
The Texans have a lot of new parts here starting with head coach DeMeco Ryans, second overall picks CJ Stroud at QB and third overall pick Will Anderson Jr at DE.
Houston gave up a league-worst 170.2 yards per game last season on the ground, while Baltimore ranked third in rusing offensively with 159.7. It could be a big day for Jackson and RB JK Dobbins in Week 1 player props. Baltimore also terrorized opposing QBs ranking in fifth in sacks. Stroud on the road in Baltimore for his first game should be in a for a long day.
#Rams coach Sean McVay says it’s possible that rookie QB Stetson Bennett and WR Cooper Kupp go on injured reserve.
“We have until tomorrow to make that decision, but I would say there is a definite possibility on all those guys.”

Rams vs Seahawks
- Pick: Seahawks
The NFL lines for this one show the Seahawks as 5-point and -225 favorites in this NFL West rivalry. Seattle was second in the division last year 9-8, while Los Angeles was third at 5-12. The Rams got four of those wins at home, thus being a dismal 1-7 on the road.
Head-to-head Seattle won both games last year winning 27-23 in LA and 19-16 in Seattle.
No matter how much stock you place in preseason, the Rams didn’t look good in losing 34-17, 34-17 and 41-0. That 41-0 came against a Broncos’ team that averaged a league-worst 16.9 PPG last year.
Then there’s the amount of stock you place in what Rams’ QB Matthew Stafford’s wife has to say. According to Kelly Stafford, her husband is having trouble connecting with the young players on the team this season. Not a great sign. Nor is the loss of WR Cooper Kupp, who has left the team to seek a specialist’s opinion on his hamstring in Minnesota.
Kupp is the Rams’ offense. In just nine games last season he had 75 catches for 812 yards and six touchdowns. No one else had more than three receiving touchdowns. Te Tyler Higbee was one of them, and while his 620 yards and 72 catches are somewhat comparable to Kupp’s, he needed 17 games to get there.
The Seahawks ranked tenth in PPG last season with 23.9. Geno Smith was eighth in QB passing yards and fourth in passing touchdowns. Only Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen and Joe Burrow threw for more than Smith’s 30 TDs. Of those 30, 15 went to either Tyler Lockett (9) ot DK Metcalf (6) who both went over the 1,000 yard mark in receiving yards.
The Rams ended the season 2-9 and don’t look to be in much better a position to start the 2023 season.

NFL Week 1 Teaser Odds
Matchup | Pick (Teaser Odds) |
---|---|
Benglas vs Browns | Browns (+8) |
49era vs Steelers | Steelers (+8.5) |
TOTAL ODDS | -120 |
NFL Week 1 Teaser Picks
NFL betting apps allow you to create many types of bets. One is a teaser. If you’re wondering, ‘What is a teaser bet?”, well a teaser allows you to add or subtract points from the pointspread for almost any amount of points. Whether you’re betting the big favorites down to a shorter price, or adding some points to an underdog to give you some extra protection, the options are endless and you can practically pick any spread you want when it comes to how to bet on NFL games.
For our Week 1 teaser, we’ll keep it simple with a two-team six-point teaser.
Bengals vs Browns
- Pick: Browns (+8)
Home teams won last year with Cleveland winning 32-13 in October and Cincinnati winning 23-10 in December.
But even though the Bengals have been the much better team in recent seasons, they have struggled versus their in-state rivals. The Browns are 8-2 versus the Bengals in the past ten meetings.
Both teams have question marks at quarterback. Deshaun Watson may be playing his first full season with the Browns and he didn’t look amazing going just 3-3 last year. But he is healthy and did get some action in the preseason. While Joe Burrow suffered a calf injury in the offseason and didn’t play in the preseason. He’s expected to play in Week 1 but it’s likely he’ll have some rust or get pulled if he aggrevates it at all.
Despite Cleveland being a woeful 1-17 in their past 18 season openers, I’m not asking them to win here, I’m simply asking them to keep it close and not lose by more than seven points. Something they only did five times last season.
This is a huge game for bettors in Ohio as last year legalized sports betting didn’t launch until later in the season. This will be the first full year that Ohio sports betting is legal in the state and bettors can take advantage of the top sports betting sites.

49ers vs Steelers
- Pick: Steelers (+8.5)
Pittsburgh ended the season on a four-game winning streak and were 4-4 at home on the year. Those four home losses were by scores of 17-14, 24-20, 37-30 and 16-14. So even in defeat, the Steelers were always competitive when playing at Acrisure Stadium.
Take preseason for what it’s worth, but few teams looked better in the preseason than the Steelers who went 3-0, winning 24-0, 27-15 and 27-17. Only Pittsburgh, Jacksonville and Washington went 3-0.
The 49ers were 13-4 in the regular season but three of those four losses did come on the road.
They get a big boost from Brock Purdy recovering from offseason elbow surgery and Nick Bosa ending his holdout to sign a new contract, making both available for Week 1. However,r star TE George Kittle is questionable on the injury report.
The 49ers were seventh in rushing yards per game last year but the Steelers allowed the joint-fewest rushing TDs (7), tied alongside the Patriots.
Then there’s Mike Tomlin’s record as an underdog where he’s been the most profitable coach over the past 20 years. Tomlin is 13-5-2 ATS and 12-8 SU as a home underdog in the regular season, while also being 48-28-3 ATS and 40-39 SU as an underdog in general.
Once again, I don’t need a win, just for Pittsburg to keep it close in this NFL teaser for Week 1.
