Taylor Fall Out With Colts
There’s been no effort made by either side to disguise the consternation between the Colts and their star RB. Taylor hasn’t practiced since undergoing offseason ankle surgery. He’s currently on the PUP list.
Taylor did travel with the Colts to Philadelphia for joint practice sessions with the Eagles. But there’s no indication as to whether he’ll be participating.

He’s seeking an extension to his current rookie contract. There was even a meeting conducted between Taylor and Colts’ owner Jim Irsay in Irsay’s motorhome at training camp, in full view of the public in attendance.
This latest development would suggest that the situation has grown untenable and the rebuilding Colts are preparing to move on from Taylor.
Dolphins Make Sense As Taylor Landing Point
Pipped by the New York Jets for the services of free agent RB Dalvin Cook, the Dolphins are a legit #1 RB away from being one of the most dangerous offenses in the NFL. Published reports are indicating trade discussions between the Colts and Dolphins are already ongoing.
Adding Taylor as a run option to the receiving threats of Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle would leave a permanent smile affixed to the face of Miami QB Tua Tagovailoa.

The AFC East may already be the NFL’s deepest division. The arrival of Taylor in South Beach would make the race between the Jets, Dolphins and Buffalo Bills absolutely wild.
And remember what happened in Miami the last time the Dolphins landed a big fish from the Colts? A coach by the name of Don Shula won them some Super Bowls – the team’s only Super Bowls, as a matter of fact. Adding Taylor would significantly improve Miami’s Super Bowl odds.
Top Teams In Hunt for Taylor
Imagine defenses having to game plan for the 1-2 punch of Justin Fields and Taylor? The NFC North could be up for grabs and Taylor might help tip the scales of the NFL Divisional odds more toward the Chicago Bears.
With second-year QB Sam Howell set as their starter, the Washington Commanders would certainly welcome the presence of Taylor in the backfield to take the pressure off the kid. Commanders’ coach Ron Rivera loves to build around the run game. From a PR standpoint, a move like this would draw attention away from the culmination of the Dan Snyder debacle in the nation’s capitol.
In Dallas, the Cowboys are moving into the post-Ezekiel Elliott era and with a team that is a postseason contender. Would another elite RB help them challenge the Eagles for rule over the NFC East?
Finally, even at a betting line of +4000, don’t count out the Super Bowl champs. In Kansas City, the Chiefs never shy away from adding a difference maker. KC is tight against the cap. Still, the Chiefs always seem to unearth a method to turn what looks like madness into reality.
If Taylor’s moving, it’s hard to look beyond the Dolphins as suitors. But if you’re looking for value in the Taylor next teams odds, Washington at +1000 offers it.
