Champ Brian Hughes could have a field day, and he’s particularly lethal around here. Plenty of ‘Hughesie’ accas I reckon, and multiple bets of various kinds. Could be that sort of day.

I’m siding with Feel The Pinch, for Toby Wynne and Robbie Llewellyn. Wynne claims 5lb, and the consistent 9-yr-old has won here previously. Up 4lb for a cosy victory at Ffos Las, but should remain competitive. Looking forward to this one.
Armattiekan 4.35
I’m going for at least one Brian Hughes scorer – and it’s one for his main man Donald McCain. Armattiekan ran really well here last time, 3 weeks ago, after a sizeable 270-day break.
Only Balranald was too good, and the pair re-oppose on Saturday. Hughes’ mount is 5lb better off for just over 3l, and of course has the benefit of that run under his belt. Another smashing little contest to savour.
