French Food isn’t synonymous with vegan cuisine, however if like me, you’ve travelled to France and been surprised with a delicious stew, salad or pastry, you might change your mind. From bouncy fresh starters made with thrifty ingredients such as celeriac, through to rich tomato based stews, there is abundance of naturally vegan food available if you know where to look.
Coupled with very clever patisserie that can now be found in larger cities (hello vegan macarons and croissant!) and classic dishes being given the vegan treatment, you can now say Oui more often than not to French Cuisine.
Here are some utterly delicious dishes that you can make yourself at home, bringing the Bistro vibe into your kitchen. Some of the patiserrie might take a little longer, but it will be well worth your while. Just be sure to always ALWAYS use the best produce possible and you’ll be visiting France with your tastebuds in no time!

Salads made with the freshest produce, dressed in perfectly balanced dressings are a joy to eat, and these French salads are always a favourite.
