- A rematch of last year’s NFC Championship game takes place in Week 13 when the 49ers visit the Eagles
- The Eagles and 49ers are the betting favorites to play for the 2023 NFC Championship
- Philadelphia is the top team in the NFL at 10-1 heading into Week 13
The way things stand ahead of Week 13 of the 2023 NFL regular season, there is a good chance that the Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers could once again meet in the NFC Championship Game. A preview of that possible matchup goes down on Sunday when the 49ers travel to Philly to play the Eagles. Last year, the Eagles downed the 49ers by a score of 31-7 in the championship game at Lincoln Financial Field in Philly after both Brock Purdy and backup quarterback Josh Johnson were forced out with injuries. The clubs did not face each other during the 2022 NFL regular season.
Before we look at the betting odds, picks, and predictions for which team will win the 2023 NFC Championship, here’s where you can find the best Super Bowl betting tips and the top betting sites for NFL football in 2023.

Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles have the best record in the NFL at 10-1, but that record hides the fact that the team has not been dominant. Instead, they have found ways to win. Their recent OT win over the Buffalo Bills (6-6), which was set up by a 59-yard field goal in the rain, was the perfect example of the Eagles sneaking by to get the win. In their past four games, they have won 38-31 vs. Washington, 28-23 vs. Dallas, 21-17 over Kansas City, and then topped the Bills.
Philadelphia has been outplayed by their foes in many of their games this season, but the team has managed to avoid all but one loss, a 20-14 setback to the Jets in mid-October.
The Eagles have scored 310 points this year and given up 246 for a point differential of plus-64. On a positive note, Philly averages an NFL-high 14.6 points per game in the second half. However, the team’s passing defense is suspect, giving up the second-most passing touchdowns in the NFL with 23.
San Francisco 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers sit at the top of the NFC West with an 8-3 record heading into Week 13 of the 2023 season. The 49ers’ offense is potent this year with Christian McCaffrey being the only running back with more than 800 rushing yards on the season. McCaffrey has racked up 939 rushing yards on 193 carries. His 11 touchdowns are second among NFL running backs. Quarterback Brock Purdy has the best Total QBR in the league at 75.6.
San Francisco had a rough patch earlier this year when they lost three straight, but they bounced back from those defeats with five straight victories, winning four of those games by double digits. The team has scored 310 points and surrendered 170 for an impressive point differential of plus-140.
This weekend’s matchup against the Eagles will show just how improved the 49ers are since those three losses and what we can expect from them for the remainder of the 2023 NFL season.
Dallas Cowboys
No team in the NFL has scored as many points as the Dallas Cowboys with 347. The team’s plus-162 point differential is also tops in the league. Despite their offensive prowess, the Cowboys are 8-3 and in second place in the NFC East. Their losses are to the Eagles, 49ers, and Arizona Cardinals, who are 2-10 on the year.
Dallas hasn’t been in a conference championship game since they played in four straight between 1992 and 1995, winning three and going on to win three Super Bowl titles. The team isn’t one of the top two betting favorites to make it that far in this year’s playoffs, but with the way quarterback Dak Prescott has been playing over the past few weeks, they can’t be counted out.
On the downside for the Cowboys, they are beating the teams they are supposed to beat and have lost to the top teams in the NFC in Philadelphia (28-23) and San Francisco (42-10).
