All of the following 2022 Lalande de Pomerol wines were tasted in Bordeaux in April. Most of the wines were tasted at Negociants, Consultants or with trade groups. Whenever possible the wines were tasted more than once.

2022 Canon Chaigneau – Lalande de Pomerol – Cherries, flowers, and chocolate are all over the place here on the nose and palate. The wine is fresh, silky, energetic, and supple on the mid-palate, finishing with more of those ripe, soft, sweet, polished, creamy cherries, plums and lift in the creamy finish. Drink from 2025-2040. 91-93 Pts

2022 Canon Chaigneau Cuve Sa Beton – Lalande de Pomerol – Medium-bodied, bright, fresh and vibrant, there is a crispness and vibrancy as well as a purity to the red and black plums here, but it lacks the depth and roundness found in the regular wine. This is unique as it is aged entirely without oak. Drink from 2025-2035. 89-91 Pts

2022 Chambrun – Lalande de Pomerol – Plummy, floral and fruity, the wine is loaded with chocolate-coated plums, black cherries and black raspberries in the mid-palate and in the lush, creamy finish. Drink from 2025-2037. 91-93 Pts

2022 De Bel-Air – Lalande de Pomerol – Forward, medium-bodied, soft-textured, and with a savory, green leafy edge to the fruits on the palate, this will be ready to enjoy on release. The wine blends 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink from 2025-2033. 88-90 Pts

2022 Enclos de Viaud – Lalande de Pomerol – Black cherries, licorice, and smoke along with a touch of cocoa is what you find in the nose. Medium-bodied, soft, forward, and fruity with a chocolate-coated core of black cherry fruit on the palate, this is going to be delicious on release. Drink from 2025-2032. 89-91 Pts

2022 Hauts-Conseillants – Lalande de Pomerol – Elegant, soft, fresh, and supple, the wine is plummy, medium-bodied, and fruity, with a plummy, chocolate mint finish. You will be able to enjoy this young as it is already tasting just great. Drink from 2025-2035. 89-91 Pts

2022 La Croix Bellevue – Lalande de Pomerol – Licorice, black cherries, and plums blend together in this medium-bodied, soft, supple, early-drinking, elegant charmer, with touches of chocolate in the endnote. The wine blends 50% Merlot with equal parts Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink from 2025-2030. 88-90 Pts

2022 La Croix des Moines – Lalande de Pomerol – Flowers, licorice, cherries and spice shine in this medium-bodied, forward, soft, fresh, early-drinking charmer. Drink from 2025-2029. 86-88 Pts

2022 La Fleur de Bouard – Lalande de Pomerol – Cocoa, espresso, plums and anise work perfectly with all of the ripe, plums, and cherries are found here. Soft, fresh, and vibrant on the palate, the wine finishes with polished, red fruits, spice, and espresso beans in the finish. The wine is a blend of 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink from 2025-2035. 90-92 Pts

2022 La Fleur de Bouard Le Plus – Lalande de Pomerol – With a floral, chocolate and plummy character, the wine is lush, dark and polished. On the palate, you find layers of spicy plums, cocoa and a touch of chocolate-orange in the finish. The wine is produced from 100% old vine Merlot. Drink from 2026-2042. 92-94 Pts

2022 La Graviere – Lalande de Pomerol – Medium-bodied, forward, fresh, and floral with a core of supple-textured cherries with cocoa on the backend of the finish. You can enjoy this with pleasure on release. The wine blends 92% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 4% Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink from 2025-2030. 90-92 Pts

2022 La Sergue – Lalande de Pomerol – Creamy, lusciously-textured black plums with chocolate-coated black cherries and licorice are the buzz words here. The lush wine finishes with a touch of chalk, along with all of its sweet, ripe, fruits in the finish. Drink from 2025-2037. 91-93 Pts

2022 Les Cruzelles – Lalande de Pomerol – Lush, soft, and creamy, the wine shows its layers of chocolately plums, black cherries, smoke, espresso, and licorice with ease. Fresh and silky are the words of the day here for what you enjoy on the medium-bodied, supple-textured palate, and in the finish. You can enjoy this Pomerol look-alike on release if you prefer its creamy, youthful fruits, or age it for its secondary characteristics. Drink from 2025-2040. 92-94 Pts

2022 Les Cruzelles La Chenade – Lalande de Pomerol – Black plums, flowers, and cherries with a splash of cocoa create the aromatic profile. On the palate, the wine is soft, polished, and fresh, with a juiciness to the fruits, and lift in the finish. Produced from 80% Merlot with 20% Cabernet Franc.14.4% ABV, pH 3.7. Drink from 2025-2036. 90-92 Pts

2022 Moncets – Lalande de Pomerol – Chocolate coated cherries, and plummy notes are all over the place. The wine is on the firm side, with a reserved character in the ripe, fruits on the mouth and in the finish. Aging could add softness to the wine. Drink from 2025-2037. 89-91 Pts

2022 Sabines – Lalande de Pomerol – Fresh, black cherries, dark chocolate, spice and espresso beans load the nose and palate. The wine is medium-bodied, with a savory edge to the fruits on the mid-palate and in the vibrant finish. This is going to drink well on release. Drink from 2025-2032 89-91 Pts

2022 Siaurac – Lalande de Pomerol – Spicy, floral meaty, earthy, red fruits show in the nose and on the palate. The wine is medium-bodied, and spicy in the mouth, with lift, and energy in the firm-textured finish. The wine is a blend of 75% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 10% Malbec. Drink from 2026-2035. 90-92 Pts
