The best-performing model overall was the We-Vibe Sync O. Everything from the redesigned shape to the cozy, body-safe silicone material got high ratings from the test team. We especially appreciated how the designers created a less intrusive yet cozy design for people to enjoy.

Let’s address the design language first, the most interesting aspect of this new toy. Unlike most wearable sex toys, We-Vibe Sync O’s design blends form and function. The designers traded internal sensations for more comfort and cozy long-term wear with the less intrusive pony. The testers especially pointed out the tapered head and how easy it made penetration. “The C-shaped vibrator expands effortlessly during penetrative sex so that my partner’s penis can sneak in without subjecting me to discomfort”, our tester Rachel Sommer commented.

But wait, there’s more! The sex toy is compatible with the We-Vibe app (screenshots above) which was the icing on the cake which cemented its place at the top. Jessica and I have tried the different features, including long-distance control, and loved the experience. Overall, the bells and whistles were impressive. Minor issues we found during testing:

My most significant concern was the included storage bag. It was very tiny and couldn’t fit the sex toy, charging cable, and remote control. I understand everyone’s trying to minimize wastage and be sustainable, but We-Vibe can do better.

Why we love We-Vibe Sync Lite:

If you’re in the market for an affordable We-Vibe sex toy, Sync Lite is your best bet. The app-controlled vibrator costs $89 ($71.20 on sale), which overall gave us the best value for our money. Don’t get me wrong, there are tons of cheaper We-Vibe toys, but none comes close to Lite’s excellent balance of price tag and quality.

Let’s start with the result of our design testing. Our tester Rachel Sommer summed up her design experience like this: “I loved the slender edge (seen in the image above) because it made it easy to slide the sex toy into the vagina. Not as good as Sync O above but it should be enough for most people. In addition, the vast outer arm towers over the clitoris for broad external stimulation. People who find standard clit stimulators limiting will love the precision and satisfaction of a broad external arm. Like other toys in the We-Vibe lineup, the Sync Lite’s body is also flexible. What about the power? Well, the motor was impressive. It certainly isn’t the most powerful I have experienced, but rumbly enough for the price and size. If you’re a more experienced user looking for intense sensations, you might have to pair the vibrator with a dildo or look for another product. However, if you’re a regular user, you’ll enjoy every bit of the intensity levels.

Another highlight was the vibrator’s compatibility with the We-Vibe app (image above). The easy-to-use interface and multiple pleasure settings make the experience fun.

The designer’s attention to detail was evident as soon as I unboxed the sex toy (you can see all items laid out after unboxing in the above image). Everything from the cozy finish to the impressive silicone build and ridged surface for better grip makes We-Vibe Sync Lite practical for extended wear.

Last, let’s finish with the sound level. I was amazed at how discreet the vibrator was, even at the highest settings. The decibels ranged between 33 and 43 when I tested it last, which was one of the lowest  on this list. I wore it in public once with two layers of clothing, and the noise level was extremely low.

Minor issues we found during testing:

I don’t know about you, but sex is double the fun in water. Unfortunately, the vibrator is only splashproof and can only withstand light water splashes. A waterproof design would’ve been a game-changer for the budget We-Vibe vibrator.

In addition, Sync 2’s thicker internal arm helps it stay intact better, and the vibration capabilities on the pony make it perfect for people who need G-spot vibrations to orgasm.

Let’s start with the size and design. “The vibrating toy’s compact size (I compare it next to a stapler in the above image) makes it perfect for partnered penetrative sex. It tucks in between bodies without causing discomfort to either partner, laying the foundation for extended and satisfying sensations”, our tester Shane Davis wrote in his test report.

The 2^nd generation vibrator has more grip from the serrated texture than the original version. This upgrade ensures it stays in place during sex better than the original We-Vibe Sync. The quieter motor, better battery life, and strong vibrations are all impressive upgrades that make it worth jumping ship if you had the original vibrator.

Note: The more elaborate ridges can irritate people with ultra-sensitive skin.

Something else that was exciting about the design was the C-shaped body (image above). Like other wearable sex toys from the brand, it clings onto the vagina for long. With simultaneous G-spot and clitoral stimulation on the table, the vibrator was incredibly satisfying.

On the versatility front, the team couldn’t wait to test the We-Vibe app (screenshots below). As stressed before, the intuitive interface and multiple fun motions are only second to the Lovense Remote app. Pairing the toy with the app was blissful, and navigating the different customization options was foolproof.

I was fixated on the beat mode. The impressive feature curates the vibrations to sync with your playlist, so the rumbles go up and down to keep up with the rhythm. I especially favored high-pitched songs because they made it easier to feel the switch between the intense and consistent flow of vibrations. The mobile app’s muti-vibe control lets you explore the vibration patterns on your toy and others in the We-Vibe lineup. For those in long-distance relationships, the video chat feature lets you explore new ways to connect while offering a window so you can see how much your partner is enjoying the experience. Great app design overall.

Pro Tip: The sex toy comes already connected to the remote control. Remember to disconnect it first before pairing it with the mobile app.

Lastly, the noise level ranges between 36 – 50 decibels, which is quite high compared to the other models, so you must be wary of your environment when using it outdoors. You can wear it to a nightclub, but it might be too loud for a date night.

Minor issues we found during testing:

Unfortunately, the remote control is non-rechargeable. In addition, it is not waterproof like the toy, so you’ll have to worry about the batteries and water.

The more elaborate texture on the 2^nd generation vibrator helped it stay intact better than the original We-Vibe Sync. However, the redesigned shape renders the vibrator problematic for people with vaginismus and other conditions that lead to painful intercourse. • Design: The reviewers were over the moon when they learned Sync 2 would be on the list. The sex toy’s C-shaped design was impressive right from the box. Even with the elaborate texture, which can be challenging for people with an ultra-sensitive vagina or clit, the balance between form and function is impressive. My colleagues complemented the design language and how well it stayed intact. “The soft ridge is slightly inclined upwards so the vibrations can reach the entire clitoris,” emphasized Rachel Sommer. While the shape (zoomed in the image below) might be off-putting for broad stimulation seekers, those who prefer targeted clit sensations will enjoy We-Vibe Moxie+’s precision.

Pro Tip: If you don’t like the precise stimulation, you can use the We-Vibe vibrator as a warm-up toy before sex. The mellow buzzes help induct you into the mood, getting you warm and marinated for the action.

Unfortunately, the redesign didn’t address a common flaw with the original Moxie. The button placement makes it hard to reach the interface, which is evident in the image below. In addition, the power button is placed in an awkward position, and sitting on a hard chair activates it, turning the sex toy on and off unprovoked.

Let’s move on to the material category, where it performed very well. The minimal seams look neat, and the well-thought-out dimensions make it cozy for extended sessions. I found the motor impressive for the size, and the vibrations enough to get me over the edge. I didn’t come in expecting wand-like vibrations, but I was happy with what I got.

Note: The magnetic clip ensures the We-Vibe vibrator stays in place. I’ve worn the Moxie+ multiple times, and remaining intact is the least of my worries.

The 2^nd generation panty vibe shares much with the original We-Vibe Moxie, but the upgraded remote (image below) makes all the difference. We loved the blacked-out color, but the juice is in the cozier-feeling finish because it makes the remote feel fantastic on the palm. With independently placed buttons and a slight indent, tracking the buttons is more manageable even when multitasking.

The remote control’s impressive range made it the best option for public sex on this list. Once you position the sex toy correctly, you won’t need to reach down. You can quickly cycle through the vibration patterns using the remote in a busy restaurant or shopping mall.

Pro Tip: For people like me who are not as creative in developing our own vibration patterns, the remote control makes the experience straightforward.

The We-Vibe phone app (screenshots above) was another highlight of the review. Besides the few disconnection instances, the pairing was seamless. More importantly, it offers more possibilities than the remote control. Especially for people who love customizing the finer details, clitoral stimulation is bliss with the We-Vibe Moxie+. Some of the standout features I enjoyed with the mobile app include the music sync function. I’m more of a lazy masturbator, and the fact that I could sync my playlist with the vibe sounded too good to be true. We’ve reviewed over a hundred sex toys, and mostly, the upgrade is not worth the money for people who already have the original vibrator. However, Rave 2 seems to have changed my mind with the new and improved design. For example, a nifty hinge in the middle (image above) lets you adjust the penetration angles for optimum internal stimulation. In addition, the update included a new and renewable toy so people who love aquatic fun but couldn’t explore it with the original We-Vibe Rave can enjoy the action. Overall a solid upgrade that made a great product even better!

Let’s jump straight to the review’s highlight: We-Vibe Rave 2’s innovative rotating design is a head-turner. The impressive feature seeks to move away from the conventional thrusting action. I don’t have the most sensitive vaginal lining, but reviewers who do describe it as a breath of fresh air. “The rotations are more gentle yet impactful, the combination every person with sensitive skin yearns for,” our tester Rachel Sommer said.

We were a bit skeptical of how effective the vibrator would be without the thrusting action. Surprisingly, the toy remained in contact with the G-spot throughout the test session. The asymmetrical shape made twisting the toy much more straightforward and practical than repeatedly yanking it back and forth.

“I’m a lazy masturbator, and anything that makes it easier for me is a win”, one of our testers wrote in the report “I came into the experience unsure of what I’d write in my review, but I loved the twisting motion more than I expected. The unique design with two motors for the G-spot and anal opening made the experience exciting. In addition, the light vibrations and deeper thumps made for satisfying yet unique sensations.”, she continued.

There is a minor flaw though: The body felt sturdy, and a more bendable shape would’ve been a game changer. I can only imagine the bliss if one end would’ve touched the clitoris.

Like other vibrators, We-Vibe Rave 2 is compatible with the We-Connect app. While the app might not be as feature-loaded as the Lovense Remote, it will be a great choice for most customers. The application adds a lot of versatility, including a music-controlled feature that regulates the vibrations to a pre-selected playlist. In addition, the app’s multi-vibe control facet lets you control your toy’s vibrations and those of your partner.

Note: The toy’s noise level ranged between 34 – 45 dB the last time I tested mine—certainly not the loudest nor the quietest.

Minor issues we found during testing:

If you need clit stimulation to climax, Rave 2 might not be your cup of tea. The bendable design doesn’t get to the clitoris as well as most people will want and can have either internal or external sensations, not both.

While I loved the twisting motion, I found it tricky to use initially (it got much better over time), and most reviewers shared the same sentiment, with most describing it as “not intuitive the first time.”
