However the summer holidays are going for you, we’ve got one thing sorted…
We’re into week 3 our Summer Family Meal Plan series, featuring 15 minutes meals that are perfect for the whole family. No fuss, no problem.
The summer holidays are in full swing and we hope you’ve been taking advantage of our Summer Family Meal Plan series in 15 Minute Meals Week 1 and 15 Minute Meals Week 2.
Here are five more 15 minute meals (and under) to take inspiration from.
All super easy, healthy and family friendly to see you through another week.
We hope you love it!
For reference, I shopped for this Meal Plan in June 2024 at Aldi and it cost £32.60
Why use a meal plan?
Knowing exactly what food to buy for avoids food waste, saving you money.
Having a plan for dinner each night avoids the mental load of “what’s for dinner?” questions every night.

Some tips:
Check for any items on the shopping list that you already have in your cupboard.
There are no side dishes in this meal plan to keep things quick and simple, but you can add anything you like, remembering to add them to your shopping list!
Remove ingredients for any meals that you don’t want to cook.
The shopping list includes the cheapest version of each ingredient. Obviously if you want to buy lower fat mince or free range etc, that’s personal choice.
Please note that there is a section in the shopping list titled ‘store cupboard‘. These are not in the main list but if you don’t have these ingredients already, you’ll need to add them on to your shop.
Recipes for 15 Minute Meals (Or Less)
Dinner 1
If you’re using the Aldi shopping list, we have used red onion in the recipe here so we only have to buy one pack of onions this week, but feel free to use white if you prefer.
Cream Cheese Pasta {10 Minute Meal}
Dinner 2
Halloumi Burger {15 Minute Meal}
Dinner 3
Aldi still doesn’t sell orzo! There is already penne on the shopping list so you could use this, however if you can get some orzo I would really recommend doing so!
I have added salad tomatoes rather than cherry tomatoes to the shopping list so that one pack will cover this recipe, the halloumi burgers and pizza toppings, should you wish.
Orzo Pasta Salad {15 Minute Meal}
Dinner 4
This recipe uses microwavable rice to make it super speedy. I’ve added this to the shopping list, but if you have the time then you can boil your own rice and use that instead.
We also suggest using pre-cooked chicken here to save time, but if you have a little longer and want to cook your own chicken with some spices, that is fine too (it would also work out cheaper if you are budgeting).
Burrito Bowls {No Cook Recipe}
Dinner 5
I usually make this with a long bakery baguette but these aren’t available at Aldi so I’ve added some part-baked baguettes as these are really convenient as have a long shelf life, but use whichever you prefer. (Please note, if you do use the part-baked baguettes you will need to add a little longer to your cooking time.)
You will have leftover black olives, red onions, tomatoes and a little chicken as toppings, however add whatever else you would like to your own shopping list.
